WHAT MAKES YOUR MUFFINS A HEALTHIER OPTION?

We strive to use locally sourced ingredients that are nutrient rich alternatives to typical muffin ingredients. These include whole wheat flour, 100% pure maple syrup, and imported extra virgin olive oil to name a few. When choosing produce, we aim for the cleanest and strive for organic wherever possible while remaining cost effective. We aim to maximize nourishment with every ingredient.

We use Recipal.com and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency database to estimate the nutritional values of our muffins. We use Whisk.com to estimate the glycemic index and load information.

WHAT ARE FLASH-FROZEN MUFFINS?

Flash-freezing is a process through which our muffins are frozen rock solid in under 2 hours to preserve their fresh-baked molecular structure and minimize crystallization. When our muffins have thawed they are as close to being fresh-baked as they can be. They can be safely re-frozen too, and they'll still come out as delicious as when you first got them.

Flash-freezing allows us to minimize costs and give you more flavour options to choose from at a better price. 

HOW SHOULD I STORE MY MUFFINS?

For the best experience, store your muffins in the freezer for up to 10 months. Pull out as many as you need and thaw in the microwave on medium to high power - 60 seconds for large muffins or 30 seconds for minis. You can also thaw them on the counter for a couple of hours. They can safely be left on the counter for up to 3 days. But that almost never happens. They'll get eaten long before that.

You can also store your muffins in the fridge for up to 10 days. 

DO YOU OFFER GLUTEN FREE, VEGAN, SUGAR-FREE OR NUT FREE MUFFINS?

We have gluten free, vegan, sugar-free and nut free options. However, please note that while we make every effort to minimize allergen cross contamination, we do not have a dedicated allergen free kitchen and there may still be trace amounts of allergens in the environment.
