Why Mary's
We started Mary's Muffins because we couldn't find a healthy muffin we felt good about feeding our family. So we made one.
Only Good Ingredients
We use the word "only" deliberately. Every ingredient in every muffin earns its place.
- Pure olive oil instead of refined vegetable or seed oils — a healthier fat that your body actually recognizes
- Whole grain flours — whole wheat, gluten-free oat flour, and Canadian buckwheat — for fibre, texture, and sustained energy
- Natural sweeteners only — 100% pure maple syrup, dates, raisins, and fresh fruit. Never refined sugar, never artificial sweeteners
- No preservatives — flash frozen at peak freshness so we never need them
- No fillers — no gums, starches, or mystery ingredients. If it's in the muffin, it's there because it nourishes you
Canadian Homegrown
Mary's Muffins is a Canadian and woman-owned bakery, founded in Oakville, Ontario in 2020. We source Canadian ingredients wherever possible — Canadian buckwheat, Ontario apples, Ontario peaches, Canadian maple syrup — and we bake every muffin by hand in our commercial kitchen in the GTA.
We are fully licensed, insured, and inspected by Halton Public Health.
For Families Who Read the Label
We built this bakery for parents like us — the ones who flip the package over before putting it in the cart. The ones who know that "made with whole grains" on the front doesn't always mean much when you read the back.
Our healthy muffins are high in fibre, a source of protein, and made with ingredients you can actually pronounce. They're flash frozen within hours of baking to lock in freshness — no preservatives needed. Pull one out of the freezer, warm it for 60 seconds, and breakfast is done.
