The Muffin Hug Window
The Inspiration
On the wall of Mary’s office hangs a limited edition print of The Hug by world-renowned Brazilian artist Romero Britto, whose bold, colourful pop art celebrates love, joy, and connection. The piece captures the vibrancy and warmth that symbolize our humble Oakville bakery and inspired the creation of the Muffin Hug Window.
The Idea
This September, we’re celebrating 5 muffin-loving years of service. Every box of muffins is like a box full of hugs — nourishing, joyful, and meant to be shared. The Muffin Hug is our way of inviting you to be part of this celebration and to spread a little more love in the community.
How It Works
- Visit the bakery and choose a fun sign from the bucket by the front window.
- Snap a photo of you and your loved ones enjoying something from our bakery — a muffin, scone, cookie, or one of our handcrafted beverages.
- Post it on social media (Instagram, Facebook, or even your favourite community group) to spread the muffin love.
- Tag us in your post (or send us a screenshot if it’s in a group).
- We’ll send you a promo code for $5 off your next purchase — more muffin love for your next visit!
The Chalk Artist
The Muffin Hug Window at Mary's Muffins was brought to life by local Oakville artist Ani Harutyunyan (IG: @aniazat). Ani is a passionate creator with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion and Style from the Art Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia. She has lived, exhibited, and shared her art across Denmark, Hungary, Namibia, and Canada.
Ani now focuses primarily on painting on silk, designing one-of-a-kind wearable art pieces that bring beauty and meaning into everyday life. Many women proudly showcase her creations as part of their daily style — art you can truly live in.
